In Lower Price Hill, neighbors are working every day to build a more just community. They are creating a community where everyone has access to basic needs, quality education, leadership opportunities, vibrant spaces, and affordable housing. From neighborhood potlucks to advocating at city hall, our neighbors are actively working to hold institutions accountable while building a strong, supportive community.
It’s our neighbors‒each with diverse experiences and strengths‒who know best what our community needs. When neighbors work together in this way, they create truly sustainable, systemic change.
So, what’s the role of Community Matters in this work?
We believe that justice can’t exist without neighbors holding power in community. That’s why neighbors are on our governing board, are members of our staff, and play integral roles in each pillar of our work. We serve as a partner and conduit for the resources these neighbors need to make a difference in their community.
In the past year, we partnered with neighbors on 20 initiatives, two social enterprises, and invested more than $100,000 directly in their leadership and ideas.
With your donation today, we can continue to stand alongside our neighbors as we build a more just community.
