
Effective July 13th, 2020, Community Matters, the dynamic, place-based nonprofit that works closely with neighbors in the Lower Price Hill community, has acquired fellow Price Hill-area nonprofit, Healthy Homes Block by Block.
Since 2013, Healthy Homes has worked to activate a network of community members throughout the Price Hill neighborhoods to support families with young children. With the recent departure of Healthy Homes founding and now former CEO, Chellie McLellan, the board of directors recognized the holistic, relationship-based model of Community Matters, which combines social services, community development, and community organizing, and entrusted the organization an as ideal host for the ongoing work of Healthy Homes.
We are delighted that Community Matters will continue to build upon the accomplishments and mission of Healthy Home by empowering families to realize the dreams they have for themselves and their children.

The acquisition of Healthy Homes will add additional family-level support, capacity, and other resources to the existing family sustainability and resident leadership work of Community Matters. In addition, Community Matters will proudly transition to become a United Way Community Partner.
We are excited to honor the foundation of work that Healthy Homes has built over the years. We embrace the opportunity to continue to strengthen how we engage and partner with families in our community.
