We’re building a community where all people have access to education.
With one daughter enrolled in the Education Forward program and another slated to graduate high school, Keli was motivated to re-engage with education and earn her GED.
Keli came in consistently for tutoring. She passed the language arts sections on the first try and then blew our instructors away by receiving one of the highest scores on social studies they had seen.
In May, Keli’s daughter was preparing to take her final section—the often-dreaded math test. Keli scheduled herself to take the science section the very same day. With mom and daughter together in our testing center, Keli passed science, and her daughter passed math to become a GED graduate.
Over the next couple of months, we watched Keli dedicate dozens of hours in the tutoring center to now prepare herself for that same math exam. She was nervous, but with all that hard work, she soon joined her daughters as a graduate!
Your support will help us invest in adult learners like Keli and her daughter.
