Investing in Resident Leadership

We believe it is time for a new approach to building community.

For too long, individuals in our community have been seen solely as people in need. With each new initiative or project, people are offered a service to meet their needs, but when the service goes away, families are left out until the next service comes along.

Over the past 70 years, this approach has not created change in Lower Price Hill. Over 86% of our children still live in poverty, 40% of our buildings are vacant, and less than 5% of residents own their home.

Since we began Community Matters, we have created a new approach to change by partnering with residents and investing directly in their leadership.

With your partnership, in just the next five years, we will invest in our neighbors to double the homeownership rate in Lower Price Hill, build the first worker owned business, create 60 new units of affordable housing, and develop 50 new community leaders.

We need your support now more than ever. We have the opportunity to create a change that we have never seen before in our community. Please consider partnering with us by making a gift today.

Build relationships. Invest in leaders.
