Support a Thriving Community

Find Your Opportunity to Support Our Work
Community Matters works alongside our neighbors to strengthen the community through essential resources, trusted relationships, and welcoming spaces. This community-led change wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our donors. Whether you give monetarily, contribute goods, or volunteer, your support helps sustain investment in a thriving, more just community.
Donate Cash
A cash gift is one of the most direct ways to support Community Matters’ work alongside our neighbors.
Give by Mail
Checks or money orders should be made payable to Community Matters and mailed to:
Community Matters
2104 Saint Michael Street

Give Online
Make a one-time or recurring gift securely online by credit or debit card, PayPal, and ACH. Recurring gifts—often established monthly—are a simple way to sustain Community Matters’ work year-round.
Donate Non-Cash Assets
Give In-Kind
Gifts of tangible goods are an excellent way to meet practical needs across Community Matters’ programs. Explore one of several opportunities below.
> Host a drive for food, personal care items, toys, or other critical supplies.
> Shop our current Walmart Spark Good gift registry.
> Contribute through Kroger Community Rewards.
Give Stock
Donating appreciated stock can be a tax-efficient way to support our work. Download this form to access brokerage account information for Community Matters and notify our team of pending transfers in order to be properly credited.
Give Cryptocurrency
Support Community Matters by making a gift in cryptocurrency. Donating crypto allows us to gain the full proceeds from the sale, and helps you, the donor, potentially eliminate capital gains exposure. Donating crypto is safe, easy, and fast. With processing by The Giving Block, we can accept donations in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and over 100 additional leading cryptocurrencies. All crypto donations made via The Giving Block are nonrefundable.
Make a Planned Gift
Recommend a Donor-Advised Fund Grant
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are flexible way to support Community Matters. Simply contact your sponsoring financial or community institution to recommend a grant or utilize the DAF Direct portal to log in to your account and make designations. Please include your name with the designation so that we can credit you properly.
The Internal Revenue Service establishes certain restrictions on the appropriate use of Donor-Advised Funds. Restrictions that most often impact donors include pledges, multi-year support, and accepting sponsorship or related donation benefits. Consult your financial advisor for more details.
Make a Distribution From Your IRA
If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a tax-free Qualified Charitable Distribution from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Community Matters. To make this Qualified Charitable Distribution, instruct your IRA administrator to make the distribution, in the amount you choose (up to $111,000 annually), directly to us, instead of distributing that amount to you.
Include Us in Your Will or Estate Plans
Including Community Matters in your will or estate plan is one way to support our community for years to come. You may choose to designate your gift to a specific program or allow it to be used where it is most needed.
You can use the following sample language in your will. Please consult with your legal or financial advisor when creating or updating your will or estate plans. If you’ve included Community Matters in your estate plans, please let us know—we would be honored to thank you.
I give and devise (_________), without reduction for any tax occasioned by my death, to Community Matters Cincinnati, Inc. (dba Community Matters), a charitable nonprofit organization located at 2104 Saint Michael Street, Cincinnati, OH 45204, to be used or disposed of as Community Matters, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate.
