Celebrating 50 Years

In 1971, the founders of the Lower Price Hill Community School began our community-centered work. From their original intentions, Community Matters and Education Matters have remained committed to growing trusted relationships, seeing the strengths in the people and places that surround us, and partnering with our neighbors to build a more thriving community.

Over the past year, this work has seen tremendous progress. Proceeds from last year’s Un-Gala ensured that our organizations could adapt to the changing landscape of the ongoing pandemic and to the changing needs of our community. This included maintaining continuous laundry access, connecting neighbors to family sustaining resources, launching an on-site GED test center for adult learners, and breaking ground on 47 units of affordable housing.

Join us in support of this year’s An Evening in Lower Price Hill: 50th Anniversary Un-Gala, which will run from November 8th through December 31st.

We are excited to have the Un-Gala return for 2021 as a COVID-19 safe alternative to our annual, in-person fundraising event. This special hybrid campaign will include a range of opportunities for sponsors, donors, and other supporters to learn more, give back, and help us celebrate a 50-year commitment to our community. Our goal is to raise a total of $95,000 to benefit the ongoing work of both Community Matters and Education Matters.

By supporting this campaign, you help ensure that we can continue to partner with our neighbors for years to come.

Virtual Balloon Auction

If you’ve attended our annual, in-person Winter Gala before, you might recall seeing The Sanctuary filled with colorful balloons at the end of the Balloon Auction, each representing the financial commitment of generous donors like you.

While we cannot entirely replicate the incredible energy of that room, your support is still critical to ensuring that we can continue to partner with neighbors over the next year.

Split-the-Pot Raffle

Enter today for a chance to win!

Each Split-the-Pot raffle ticket is $25, and with the more raffle tickets that we sell, the bigger the pot will be. All raffle ticket sales will close at midnight on Friday, December 17th. We will announce the prize winner, selected at random through computer software, at 10am on Monday, December 20th.
